about

Beacon is a 30-minute electroacoustic piece that seamlessly travels through eleven different dreamlike ambient spaces. It was commissioned in January 2021 by an independently run arthouse movie theater in Seattle named, (drumroll…) The Beacon.

However, as things progressed the name "Beacon" took on a new meaning. Each major section began to feel like it was actually representing a different point along a path of emergence. "Prototype" is an assessment from different perspectives, "Unfurl" is a bursting apart and then a pause for introspection… and finally, "Reorder and Coalesce" is just that - lining things up with fresh knowledge in mind, and bringing it back together into a familiar yet (ideally) improved state.

These three sections are available as separate tracks, as well as the gapless 30-minute version which allows for an uninterrupted listening experience.

Huge thanks go to Casey Moore @ The Beacon. The Beacon Theater can be found at: thebeacon.film
